Green Printing For Good

Today I met Augustus Casamayor, chairman/CEO of AC Graphics in Hialeah, one of the “greenest” printers around.
It was very inspiring to learn that his business became the first triple-certified green printer in the state of Florida where the paper used is harvested, manufactured and used in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. Additionally, his company uses only vegetable-based inks – avoiding traditional petroleum-based products.
Besides all of that he and his staff are all about recycling as I observed when taking a tour through his printing facility. He conducts monthly seminars to teach organizations, businesses (including other printers) and students how to become sustainable which includes the importance of preserving the world’s forests and the protection of the atmosphere by eliminating the use of fossil fuel.
As a certified EcoBroker it lit up my day — I was happy to see someone with so much passion bringing on a new standard of care to the printing industry which he and his family have worked in for generations. Attendees of today’s event were also glad to learn that the printing price is not higher than standard prices. Although Mr. Casamayor bought into pricy German printing technology, he will keep the product price at the same level as regular printing so everyone can get onboard.

The Green Room is a green-minded business networking group that meets, shares, learns and networks every 6-8 weeks at a location in Miami. Our last meeting was held on July 26, 2008 at my EWM Realtors office in Aventura. We had two guest speakers. The topic was on indoor air quality. Hello Green Roomers (Members of The Green Room, a green-minded business networking group in Miami):
I hope you are all doing great and are quite busy as I have been lately in my real estate business…
Besides working on several real estate transactions, since I saw you last I have changed brokerages and relocated my business from Keller Williams Realty to Esslinger Wooten Maxwell, Inc. Realtors at their Aventura office
Their green awareness and great interest in “The Green Room,” cutting edge Internet marketing approach, international affiliation with major worldwide brokerages as well as buyer relocation program are what convinced me. All this just supports what I have already built for my business and I look forward to serving my clients under the EWM banner.
I set up our next meeting for “The Green Room” for Saturday July 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM at my new office in Aventura ( 2750 NE 185 Street, Aventura, FL 33180). I am very excited to welcome you there. Once again, we will have a great place to network, trade ideas, and learn about each other’s businesses.
